Final Destination 2, 1 and threeeeeeeee

We watched this yesterday, I'm not so impressed, its just become about inventing new and messy ways to die. The first final destination that I watched, (no. 2 in a weird bizarre instance of reordering the world) I was quite impressed, It was late, I was young, I was sitting on a sofa with a boy each side to hide behind and a duvet and a lot of cushions so nothing could get to me. I did like the inventiveness, the working out what was going to get them, who was next, and the sheer volume of blood and squishiness (lots and lots of squishiness). I did have to watch a few Disney films to reset my fluffy bubble of sparkle, but I appreciated the art, the maths and the inevitable fate of the film. Then, a couple of years later I watched the first one, the one with the plane. Clever too... And leaving it open for a sequel or two was a nice touch. Number three... Not really much to keep us guessing, only a passing reference to the first film, nothing about the second plot, none of our favourite characters (ok, lots of them are dead, or know better these days) and not really any deaths as fun as in the other films. They all died. I hope there is another final final destination, where there really is an end to it. This one was all 'tied up' as an afterthought.
Maybe I should stick with Disney.
