Hatched!
So we staged the show backwards.
The audience were in the choir stalls, the cast was on stage. It worked. It hurt our brains, but was an interesting experiment in backwards thinking and having the balls to make it work.
Its been a good week, The creatives are bonkers, the young people were talented, big time, and of course the show was excellent.
Up to the fringe tomorrow to abuse my ears, liver and theatrical sensibilities... see you there!
Jolly Hockey Sticks...
(I think this may be an 'OSS' for those of you in the pub on Friday Night)
I'm off on another adventure... I'm going down to Surrey to work on a show for YMT:UK (the next generation of NYMT for those of you that remember the cold nights at the Palladium) - The Stones are Hatching (apparently!). I shall be in Epsom for 10 Days, and then there shall be a show at Fairfield Hall, which will be lovely. Oh yes.
I don't know how much internetty goodness I shall have, so if you need me you better phone me. My number is easily accessible for those of you who can use your noggins, and for those of you that can't you don't deserve it. I have spoken.
In other news... Last night was happily wiled away having a picnic. An indoor picnic. There were rugs, cocktail sausages and the usual banter, There were poi. They were fun. I may have a serious go at them, its exciting when I can do it right. Its concussing when I can't. Ergo I will endevour to do it right. Apologies to the lovely Pepper. A very understanding pussy cat.

My new shiny leatherman is still wonderful. And shiny. And purple.
Its here... I am complete!
Ladles and Jellyspoons...
I would like to announce the arrival of my shiny new baby to my family. After many days of waiting, hoping and otherwise stalking the postman My li'l bother finally bought in the most exciting post of the week.
Look how purple, how shiny, how gay! How wonderful! The Leatherman Juice xe6, The thing to behold! I shall call him squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my squishy! (ahem)
If you ask nicely (very nicely) ~ I may let you stroke!
Stage Managers....
'...are sweaty.... hehe..... ahem... I have the greatest respect for these people, regardless of gender confusion and crossdressing. They are the ghostly shadow pixies that melt the mellow corners and turn sawdust into .....sparkly sawdust'
A quote taken from the dear Lozi... who can be found holding up welsh coll if you would like to buy her a drink or two.
Final Destination 2, 1 and threeeeeeeee
We watched this yesterday, I'm not so impressed, its just become about inventing new and messy ways to die. The first final destination that I watched, (no. 2 in a weird bizarre instance of reordering the world) I was quite impressed, It was late, I was young, I was sitting on a sofa with a boy each side to hide behind and a duvet and a lot of cushions so nothing could get to me. I did like the inventiveness, the working out what was going to get them, who was next, and the sheer volume of blood and squishiness (lots and lots of squishiness). I did have to watch a few Disney films to reset my fluffy bubble of sparkle, but I appreciated the art, the maths and the inevitable fate of the film. Then, a couple of years later I watched the first one, the one with the plane. Clever too... And leaving it open for a sequel or two was a nice touch. Number three... Not really much to keep us guessing, only a passing reference to the first film, nothing about the second plot, none of our favourite characters (ok, lots of them are dead, or know better these days) and not really any deaths as fun as in the other films. They all died. I hope there is another final final destination, where there really is an end to it. This one was all 'tied up' as an afterthought. Maybe I should stick with Disney.
Silly Season!
Its official, the silly season has started. Friends, students, the misguided, and the odd proffessional who should know better, have spent the past week or two in manic rehearsals, props sprees, everlasting tech's to bring us The Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Thank You Lal!

Yesterday I got back from our last venue in Northampton to find Very exciting post, due to being the thousandth (is that right?) click on Lal (aka Mister Brad Fitt, theatrical guru)'s blog. I shall treasure him always and have already got him beaming down at me from my laptopish screen.
Thanks Lal, and Thankyou Brad :)
