The next show.....

1st-24th September, GBS Theatre, 7.45pm
Aorta presents the British Premiere of
'Serenading Louie'
by Lanford Wilson

Set in suburban Chicago in 1970, two couples pursue the 'American Dream'. Confronted with their own isolation, deceit and self-delusion their story unfolds, exposing the broken realities that lie beneath the mask of success. Challenging our complacency, this rarely performed chamber piece by one of America's great twentieth century playwrights is unnerving in its domestic tragedy, a story that remains cruelly relevant today.

Real life...and midget porn.

Is me going to work in the office real life... or is me doing shows real life...I know its all showbiz, but there is alot to be said about the doing. What is my natural state... in an office in a suit doing deals to make the next big thing in entertainment, devising new and innovative theatre, or wearing combats up ladders doing the doing, getting smelly and knowing that its there cos I put it there. I moan when I'm out, I moan when I'm in.....

Isn't it Ironic... don't you think?!

Im home....

Well what a summer... Its been good, its been bad, its been ugly, but we have created some amazing theatre and I have met some of the most brilliant people in the industry. We are a team, we bonded, we felt the love (and often each other) Our characters were built, as was the set... repeatedly, and no... they don't just slot together! our diet coke was drunk, and our show went up everytime.

Some days there was petrol in the diesel van, Somedays there was no food, Somedays there were 17 of us in a flat that sleeps six.... and a glass shower. Last week I lived in an (alledgedy) haunted studio theatre with a wonderful guy who kept me sane... no hot water, sometimes no water!

We got 5 stars and pick of the week in Edinburgh. Reviews have been constantly amazing. My hair was pink.

To the team... you made my summer, Superman... I have sooo much respect for everything you say and do, thankyou for being my sanity (and hubby -if I marry a boy it will be one like you!). Hooooooo... thank you for the grouse! you are Wicked! My fav wench... your smile, your breasts, (what breasts!) you're wonderful!

Everyone else... I'm so proud of us, I never thought I'd say this but I wish I was still on tour with you!
